Dear IDW, Lucasfilm, Disney, and Marvel Comics, ...

Howdy! My name is Otis Frampton. I'm a comic book writer/artist and freelance illustrator. I have my own creator-owned series at Image Comics called "Oddly Normal." I'm one of the two artists on the popular animated web series "How It Should Have Ended" (over 8 million subscribers on YouTube!). I'm a Lucasfilm-approved artist, having created thousands of Star Wars-themed sketch cards for Topps and done illustration work for StarWars.com.

Oh, and I'm also a huge Star Wars fan who loves to draw Jawas. It's kinda my thing. I love telling visual stories about the diminutive desert scavengers. I started cranking out illustrations featuring the little buggers a few years ago and I can't seem to quit! You can see some of them HERE.

I've started to wish there was a comic book series about the bright-eyed buggers and I'd love to be the one to draw it. I'm not alone in this... many of my fans have told me they'd buy a comic about Jawas if I ever created one! Of course, I'd need you to hire me to create the book for people to buy it, right?

That's great news! Because IDW has already hired me to tell a Jawa story in "Star Wars Adventures" #8! Here is my variant cover for that issue:

My story in that issue was recently nominated for a Kids’ Comics Award in the category of Most Epic Adventure!

So here is my audition for a hypothetical series, called "Jawa Adventures." It would be an anthology series featuring a variety of characters and stories all centered around Jawas. And it would be a wonderful companion piece to IDW's "Star Wars Adventures," don't you think? Jawas could be the Minions of the Star Wars Universe... it's a million dollar idea!

So check out these 96 mock-up covers to the series that doesn't exist... yet. Be sure to click the "Show More" button to, you know, show more! I'll be adding more as I create them from the many, MANY Jawa illustrations that I've created over the last year (and continue to create).

And if you like what you see, drop me a line and let's talk about making "Jawa Adventures" a reality!

Your pal,

P.S. Oh, and even if you don't think "Jawa Adventures" is a good idea for a comic, I'm available for more comic work! Hit me up for a fill-in issue of something or a variant cover or whatever you think might work for me!
